Commercial lots that carry truck traffic
Gonzales sits where Interstate 10, Airline Highway and Highway 30 meet, and much of its paving work is commercial: retail centers, restaurants, offices, churches, and businesses that serve the plants along the river. Those lots see delivery trucks, service vehicles and heavy pickups every day, not just cars. A lot built for cars alone will rut and crack in the drive lanes within a few years under that load. When we price a lot here, the entrances, drive lanes and dumpster and loading areas get a thicker base and more asphalt than the parking stalls.
Overlay, patch or rebuild
Most worn lots are a mix. Areas with web cracking and ruts have lost their base and need to be cut out and rebuilt; areas that are only faded and lightly cracked can take an overlay or a sealcoat. We mark which is which on the walk-through and price them separately, so you can see where the money goes and, if needed, split the work across two budget years. Pothole repair covers the patch work.

Paving around open hours and events
A business lot cannot simply close for a week. We phase the work, paving one section while customers use another, and plan around busy periods, including the weekends when festival traffic fills the town. After the new surface cures, the lot is restriped with stalls, arrows, fire lanes and accessible spaces. Homeowners in Gonzales get the same attention on driveway paving, and the asphalt driveway cost guide explains the line items.
